I take it back, now that I'm finally viewing it on a proper computer monitor. I'm going to have to guess Red Oak. Its too broad for Pin, even with the lower limbs removed it would still have a much more pyramidal shape than that. We actually have a Red Oak locally at a college campus that looks very similar. I'll try and get some pictures of it next week if I can, as we'll be working at the college in question. Its got the same low crotched, upright branch structure as that, save for the fact the tree is badly in decline, and has VERY little twig growth/foliage producing wood, and is held together with a myriad of brace cables. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ Eastern Native Tree Society http://www.nativetreesociety.org
