Don, in my 4 years at Michigan Tech I only remember one day that was closed due to snow. It was the Sunday after Thanksgiving when all us trolls (people from under the bridge) were returning to school. There was a 3 foot snowstorm that day throughout most of the UP and we couldn't make it any farther than Munising because the roads going west were all closed. The road along Lake Superior was closed because the waves were going over the road and then freezing. The inland road was closed because a snowplow got stuck and a second one sent to pull the first one out also got stuck. Very fun trip though!
