Will, I live in cheraw, sc. The rangefinder is one of the opti-logic versions. I made sure it was accurate before I started measuring trees by laying out a tape measure and shooting from various distances and comparing the results. I hope to get a nikon rangefinder and a clinometer soon. A list of the congaree's tallest would be appreciated. The sweetgum looks different from the one I found and I don't think I've seen that swamp chestnut oak. The swamp chestnut oak and the redbay I mentioned were located this past november.
