YES! An elm. Well, at least the twig pic is good (the picture I didn't
take myself, alas). The trees in a row are the elms in Central Park.
Another  pic is a diseased elm...I had a feeling it wasn't clear at
all. The pock-marked bark pic is a diseased beech. I'll take some
other shots of the elm and see if they are more descriptive.

Thanks so much you guys. This is a HUGE help to me.  I'll force myself
to wait before posting more species, unless this is too tedious?
