Bob, Ed, As usual you came up with a new formula, awesome mathmatics. You are right in saying that to much time on exact volume is time not well spent. I have been applying the volume formulas to the largest Live Oaks it is so cool to learn how much area they can take up. I also like your Trunk and Limb formulas. I need a new laser that can do closer measurements and a laptop to really get into this detailed stuff. On the Largest Live Oaks I've been measuring longest Limb Length,Crown Volume, Trunk Volume, Avg Crown Spread, largest limb Cir.,etc. I plan to go back remeasure most of the larger trees and update the listing. I really enjoy all this measuring stuff and thank you guys for all the encouragement. I'm putting together a more detailed listing on the larger trees. Larry
