No need to freak...you take your $15 calculator in hand, press the "sine" 
button, enter the clinometer reading, press the "X" button, enter the 
rangefinder distance, press the "=" button for the first height, repeat the 
process for the second height, then add them for the height. It really is that 
easy!
Perhaps the excellent treatment that trees get in the arboretums around the 
nation has something to do with the number of champion trees that appear in 
tree register around the states that have arboretums in their address..?
