I have heard them referred to as Monk Parakeets and as Quaker Parrots. I think they are so cool (though I've never been there to see them). Barry

I saw an adorable flock of them at Pelham Bay Park last week-end. All bright green and tropical looking. I think they are Quaker Parrots in the Bronx. They seemed to be about the same size as robins. They are causing some problems for con ed as they build large nests on electricity poles, but I am hoping they handle it more humanely than the city handles pigeon nests and roosting sites. Very sad. I'd love to get some pix. I'll post them. I'm glad you asked! Jenny On Apr 28, 9:35 pm, Barry Caselli <[email protected]> wrote: > Hi Jenny, > I was just wondering. I happened to think of it today. Have you ever personally seen the wild parrots of brooklyn?
