Trees, Truffles and Beasts generally describes the triads of the forests of the northwestern US and southeastern Australia. It gives an overview of the different types of mycorrhizae, their fruting bodies and methods of spore dispersal. I'm about half way through it and find it fascinating. This is a great introduction to the relationship between trees and fungi and would probably prove enlightening to many folks on this list. A plus for me is the discussion of trees and small mammals of Australia which I'm totally unfamiliar with.
