ENTS, I want to again invite any current members of ENTS who are interested in trees in Western US and Canada to join the recently formed Western Native Tree Society. It is under the directorship of Don Bertolette based in Alaska. If you are worried about duplicate posts from both groups, there is both good and bad news. If something is posted simultaneously to both groups, you will only receive one copy of the message in your mailbox. Google Groups does this automatically to limit duplication. The bad news is if something id sent separately to each list, or forwarded from one group to the other, you will get copies from both groups.
Still I think it is worthwhile to join both groups and to post things relating to western trees to WNTS, and materials of interest to both groups to both groups. Over time it is anticipated that the WNTS will develop its own following and posts on western trees will greatly increase in numbers. I would like to invite Lee Frelich, David Stahle, Will, Blozan, and Roman Dial to join WNTS. BVP was drafted when the group was created, but I would like to see him participate in the discussions more. There is a join box on the Western Native Tree Society homepage: http://www.nativetreesociety.org/wnts/index_wnts.html or you can join through Google Groups: http://groups.google.com/group/WNTS?hl=en Ed Frank "The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious.
