thanks!  I'd like to second your suggestion for picking up a copy of the 
"Cobscook Bay" pamphlet.  We picked it up at a gas station near Lubec for $7 I 
think...well worth the cost.

BTW, thanks for the excellent photos of Katahdin.  That is Ellen's favorite 
place.  She went to the University of Maine and climbed that mountain many 
times.  When we got married we had fun showing each other our favorite places.  
I only managed to climb it once in early October.  The first time we tried it 
in early October the mountain was closed due to heavy snowfall so we could only 
go up halfway.  I've been trying to talk Ellen into doing the Knife Edge.  It's 
the only trail that she hasn't done.  Ellen is afraid of heights but she loves 
to climb mountains.  Go figure.
