Do you know how the champ was measured? As you know, big crowned trees are often badly mis-measured. Now that we have a contingent of Ents running state champion tree programs, maybe more opportunities will arise to push our more accurate measuring techniques. Our tree was the National champ from 1940 to sometime in the 70 or 80's I think.
