Has anyone seen that tremendous willow oak on the U.S. capitol
grounds? It has been over 20 years since I saw it, but assume it is
still there. That tree is probably a good 6+ feet in dbh. There are
several big ones there, as I recall.

Willow oaks are great trees. They sometimes get lumped in with water
oaks, but they are much more attractive, imo. Longer-lived, too.
