This lecture is given by tree-ring expert Dr. Thomas Swetnam and highlights 
some of the key findings of Southwestern tree-ring research conducted over the 
past 70 years. This talk was taken from a scientific meeting entitled, 
"Ecological and Agricultural Consequences of Climatic Extremes and 
Variability," and it is part of the Walter Orr Roberts Public Lecture Series.
