    I salute your abilities and effort. I have Jack's book, but don't feel anywhere near talented enough to tackle such a project ony own. 
     Your extensive building project explains why we lost contact with one another for so long. I'd love to see the house sometime.

    BTW, Monica's next concert is on Nov 8th in Holyoke, MA.

Most of the timber frame came from the trees I cleared from the site.  I milled the trees on a portable saw mill, designed the house, and did the layout and cutting of the joinery.  I used Build a Classic Timber-Framed House by Jack A. Sobon, Published by Storey Communications, Inc. to guide me through the process.  I've built other homes out west, but this was my favorite project.  For five or so years, most of my free time was spent dealing with this construction project.  Actually, I'm still working on certain things when I find the time.
