After the filling breakfast I reported on this morning, I needed to work it
off. The following list shows the day's measurements in Mohawk toward
fulfilling my intention of remeasuring all the 150s in that state forest. As I
had hoped, most of the trees that had not been measured in several years showed
substantial growth.
Andrew,
I found the twig on John Brown that is over 160. It is not visible until all
the deciduous trees have shed their leaves completely. I previously measured
the other side of the crown and reported that measurement. I thought the John
Brown tree had dropped out of the 160 Club. But it hasn't. Still, I'm glad we
chose the Joe Norton tree for your initial climb.
