Perhaps one genetically, but clearly a multitrunk specimen.  I agree it is 
enormous, but I think it should not be compared directly to single trunk 
specimens.  There should be a separate listing for multitrunk specimens and 
most certainly this would rank.\\

  The state champ branches at about 3' and has four massive stems.  I
  know it is argued to be more than one tree, but in this case, I think
  it is one specimen.  31.8 x 107x 161  It is not a pretty tree, but it
  is massive.  One of only two trees breaking the 500 point realm in
  Pa.  The other is a cottonwood.
