Carolyn, Greg, & Larry,

Thanks. The box is 18" tall. The Rootmaker pots I purchased arrived today.
I purchased 50, 5-gallon grounders to start with. They are designed for in
ground use but may be used above ground. The tree roots extend into the
soil to absorb water and nutrients through 3/32" holes. The holes constrict
the roots causing an accumulation of sugars and starches within the pot.
Root branching occurs behind this constriction. With the pots being in
ground I can conserve water use and the roots are insulated from temperature
extremes. I'll keep posting on the progress.

George, Nice Tree box. I just planted some new stuff in mine a couple
of weeks ago. Keep me posted on the progress of your trees. Way cool!
I'm just now catching up on email stuff on my way back home from
Wisconsin. Talk to you later. Larry
