Dale,

Systemic insecticides would be money well spent- and not wasted. The trees
would actually live!

Subject: [ENTS] HWA in Ohiopyle State Park

Ents,

FYI,

A long standing park volunteer found HWA in Ohiopyle State Park (SW PA) this
year. Although park personell said it "wasn't widespread", it was found in
a couple areas of the park, including the old growth hemlock of Ferncliff
Natural Area. I was told by they're looking at doing a beetle release... I
was hoping they'd be more aggressive than that, but the state budget is in a
shambles and money to treat stuff like this has been greatly curtailed.
