ENTS, I guess it was Saturday I think, I was trying to rearrange my bookcase that has all my New Jersey books in it, to make room for some new or recent purchases. I re-discovered a Forestry Suppliers catalog that's been in my book case since 1982. When I was a senior in high school, if asked, I would tell people that I wanted to get into forestry or farming, once I graduated. (I think that's what is in my yearbook too. At the time it never ocurred to me that forestry involved cutting down trees! I guess I had a pre-conceived notion that forestry was planting trees and taking care of them, and doing other similar things. Anyway, after high school I went to the Word of Life Bible Institute (in the Adirondacks), which is a one-year school. Then I thought I was going to go to college, but I didn't. After I got home after that year was up, I was buying gardening and seed catalogs, and I also bought the Forestry Suppliers catalog (#32, Spring 1982 - Spring 1983), though I obviously never bought anything from it. I just put it on my bookshelf and forgot it. I've still got it. What a relic it is now I guess, being 27+ years old. I just thought it was kind of interesting that this thing is still in my bookshelf. Actually I must have bought it while I was still at Word of Life, maybe on my Spring Break. Anyway I was going to post this a couple days ago, but finally got around to it today. I know last night and today I've been posting like crazy, with few responses. But I keep posting anyway. Maybe I'm crazy. I know there were a couple responses to my ring count of that Pitch Pine. By the way, I didn't participate in that Conifer Quiz because I had no idea of what the trees were. Well actually I was quite sure the last one was what I call Arbor Vitae, however you spell that. Barry
