Beth, JZ, & Scott,

I suppose it would live a long time as long as there are no human
disturbances, it's crown is very healthy. There are more walnut shells than
acorns but it is producing. I guess the squirrels use the hollow for
shelter and nut storage. The tree is about 600' west of the preserves
entrance. Scott, there's an even larger sycamore I've been wanting to
measure about a mile or two from the oak. It grows along Egypt Rd. Could
you also check for the sycamore? How many trees are listed in the book?

George, Is it still producing acorns? I am surprised I didn't see
that one in my travels. I will have to check the Penn tree book to
see if it was listed.
