Gaines, The entire original thread - 26 messages - is still there on the Google Groups website under the original heading so they are not missing. The splitting of the topic is an artifact of someone forwarding a second copy of a post back to the group after the first did not appear. This forwarded copy added the FW to the Subject line, and Google Groups thought it was a new topic. I can't fix the problem so now replies will be posted in which ever topic - the old one or the forwarded one - depending on which message engendered the reply.

I see that the original topic "White pine growth rates--something of interest about growth possibilities" and all the discussion has disappeared, including my three posts today. Unfortunately, I did not save copies of what I wrote. It has been replaced by this FWD topic Can the original topic be found and restored? --Gaines
