Larry, I like your idea. I heard that some school, I don't know which one, goes out to Engelmann woods. This is listed has "old growth". I'm not sure if it is or not but I thought if I could find out which school I would like to go out and teach the kids something about nature. Beth

We could have display booths with T-shirts, hats, books, old growth info, whats going on with our Forests, young trees, etc. ENTS has many talented and diverse folks, I think it would be a great thing. Some could lecture, others demonstrate climbing technics, measuing technics, etc. Perhaps a new movement for renewal, green space, etc. We could have each annual festival in a different region, one in the northeast, one in the southeast, etc. The problem would be the logistics of such an event and where when to have it. We have some great speakers and we could reach many children with something like that. I know in years past some schools were teaching children more about nature. I'm going to ask some friends who have younger children what they are teaching them now about nature. Just my thoughts. Larry
