Barry, James, ENTS

I could do a Rucker, but we won't be setting any new height records
here. Barry, Yes, Q. falcata. I found several leaves that have that
narrow pointed shape. I will confirm it in spring. I am guessing
that these species occupied this side of the Delaware River where it
is developed now. We are across I-95 from the Heinz reserve, the big
wetland that was saved when 95 was put in. It is much wetter there,
and you find more pin oak, green ash, and bitternut hickory. This
spot must sit on a rise, as it is dry. Or they drained it to build
Tinicum, that may be more likely.
