Don,
This is not my area at all, unfortunately. I suspect an infrared summer leaf-on filter would be a better option. then match it with LiDAR hits. The scale Josh (NC) has is still a 20 foot grid (right Josh?)- Josh says a 1 meter resolution is soon to come. Will F. Great to hear of LIDAR utility (with the cautionary note due to all remote sensing)! My question? You said this LIDAR run was filtered for >160 which was effective for height alone...my friends' work up here in the PNW indicates that they are closing in on 'species filters', albeit most successfully with conifers. Are 'species' filters possible back there? (I'm guessing only in leaf-on imagery capture)? -Don _____ Hotmail: Free, trusted and rich email service.
