The staff I was referring to is a couple of people who man the shop
near the tree.

I might be able to make it down there sometime this summer to measure
the tree. The spread would be a real challenge for me however. Larry
would be more qualified to do this. I would love to meet Larry there
sometime and us measure it together. It is a truly awesome tree.

Concerning the American Chestnut in Alabama, I knew the southern end
of the Appalachians were in that state. I didn't think American
Chestnut made it that far south. You learn something every day.
