Dear friends,
Yayasan Andaru Selaras is a charitable foundation organized by AsiaWorks
Leadership Program alumni and is dedicated to serving and improving the
underprivileged community in Jakarta. With a vision of making a difference and
touching the life of as many needy people as possible, Andaru Selaras was
launched on 21st August 1999.
Meaning 'reaching the stars', Andaru Selaras is a registered non-profit
foundation committed to reach out and light up the world of the needy. We raise
money for the most needed and assist other NGOs in getting their projects done.
Providing education, improving health and sanitation standards, and saving
lifes, are the beginning of a long and fulfilling agenda.
In its baby time, Andaru Selaras managed to complete the building of Health Post
in Penjaringan, West Jakarta, Public Library for children and a Multifunction
Room at Pulo Gadung in North Jakarta, and Sanitation Wells plus Water Tanks at
Rawa Buaya, West Jakarta. Andaru Selaras also assisted Rachmania Foundation in
Bekasi to provide scholarships for 30 children all the way from elementary
school to senior high, sponsored building materials for a school at Kampung
Segara Jaya, and tied up with Yayasan Sayap Ibu for a medical sponsorship for
abandoned children and funded the operation of two babies at St. Carolus
Hospital in October 1999.
Continuing the agenda of the year 2000, Andaru Selaras will be assisting the
Ministry of Environment to focus on sanitation for the people who lives by the
river Ciliwung. Therefore, we'd like to call our dear friends in NGOs who are
dealing with them recently, to work together. Let's make an urgency by faxing or
sending your unfinished project proposal by hand to Nuri LP5 or Ningsih LP9 at

latest. We'll help you to get it done.
