Dear EOG developers, I recently purchased a 3D digital camera made by Fuji:
http://www.fujifilm.com/products/3d/camera/finepix_real3dw1/ and have only begun to play with it. The camera saves the stereo pairs in MPO format (JPEG Multi-Picture Format). Unlike Windows XP or Mac OS X, in Gnome (Ubuntu 8.04) these MPO files were automatically recognized as image files and clicking on the file icon in the desktop revealed one of the pairs (the left I think) with EOG. There are of course various applications available on both Mac and Windows that deal with these MPO files, but it was a pleasant surprise that Gnome Desktop/EOG was ready to recognize and do something useful with these files right out of the box. Hat's off to you folks for being ahead of the curve on this one. ...BC -- -------------------------------[ [email protected] ]-- Bill Costa 1 Leavitt Lane CIS/Telecom -- 1st Floor University of New Hampshire Durham, NH 03824 USA http://pubpages.unh.edu/~wfc WORK: +1-603-862-3056 HOME: +1-603-435-8526 ------------------------[ No good deed...
