I was trying to figure out what MadMat meant...Canon has too many PBs, BPs,
and loads of E1s and E2s...confusing to write sometimes. I agree Darrell,
it would be really nice to have a lighter booster *but* with the vertical
controls. I was thinking about just going with the Battery Pack BP-E1 for
it's weight and size (9.8 oz vs. the 17.1 oz with the PB-E2 I use) but I've
gotten so use to a main dial, an AE lock and shutter button in a convenient
location on the booster, didn't do it.
Also, I do like the way Canon has designed their boosters and battery pack
for the pro models. They become an integral part of the camera body and are
tactilely much nicer than Nikon's 'slap it on the bottom' design, ala the
F100's MB-15.
