I do agree with you that this is a Canon list and
therefore Canon equipment should be discussed (as
rules say). Nevertheless, except some big Nikon vs.
Canon war, it is ok to discuss what the competition
has to offer and that Canon does not have, or visa
versa. If Canon would not care what the competition is
doing we would not be where we are now. For example
the fact that VR lenses can automatically detect if
you are panning and set the mode accordingly is a nice
feature, at least for some. It is ok for somebody to
'complain' that a certain feature is missing. If this
feature happens to be a feature that Nkkon offers why
should we not be allowed to mentikon the word Nikon,
or Minolta, or Pentax, or... If there would not be any
competition we still would make fire with some wood,
stone, and rope...
