I will take your comment as cheeck in tongue and not as the beginning of
another volley ;-) (see how those smiley faces help ;-)... and will answer in
kind.
My original six line .SIG was a no-no because it was made up of six lines, not
because there was some objectionable reference. Therefore I do not feel that
I acted hypocritically by either making my comment and/or using a free web
based e-mail system to send the message. I have used this account exclusively
for photography related e-mail and have posted to this newsgroup for over a
year without having anyone bring up the issue.
The fact is that with every free e-mail system the provider probably makes
some money and/or gathers additional users through the use of adding verbage
at the bottom of each e-mail (I use AmexMail because they are amongst the
least obnoxious) and this is something that I cannot control.
If we were to start nit-picking about those added-in lines, we would have to
cut out everyone who has accounts with HOTMAIL, YAHOO, etc, etc, etc. Now
would probably remove a lot of members from this group, wouldn't it?
