While I have been way too busy for any of the testing I originally had
intended to do I will add one more thing about the 28-80 Tokina.

This lens is unreal and almost unusable in many situations. This lens is
prone to flare, absolutely flare prone to an extreme degree!

Case in point. At night in the house with a ceiling light, as I move around
I noticed flare in the form of ghosting. This is from a ceiling light! The
light does not even have to be in the frame to produce ghosting, just at an
angle. I have never experienced this much flare in any lens I have ever
owned. I took my son to his Grandmothers yesterday and I was taking some
snaps. She has patio doors and if I had the lens pointed at about 45 degrees
from the window to actually pointing directly at the window, I got massive
flare. Total flare. Contrast reducing, sharpness eliminating, color
destroying flare!

Very disappointing. Even the flare prone 24-85mm USM never done this. No
way!
