I left without the 7e :( Just in case anyone is curious, I've answered my own question. I traded in the above mentioned items, plus two very nice FD 50mm 1.8 lenses no longer needed, for $250 at a different store with a much more knowledgeable salesman. That may not be the greatest deal ever, but I felt better about it than the first store's offer.
