Not for his sig, but for not wanting to understand why it *could* be
considered as spam or unacceptable commerce. Note that I still
haven't demanded that he changes his sig, but if he persists in the
opinion that it is his godgiven right to put whatever commerce he
wants in the sig, then he leaves me very little option as a
listowner....as that behaviour goes more against the spirit of this
list than the sig itself....in the context of acting as a
precedent....there is a subtle difference between being lenient to
such sigs, vs letting someone else decide what the rules are, cq
claiming rights that don't exist, or are even denied in the
EOS-List-FAQ.

*Suppose* B&H 'stationed' Henry here mainly to sit, read and
listen....considering this list as valuable input for market
information, dealing with complaints offline, etc....not impossible,
if B&H is smart.
That would make his public reactions secondary, and rob you of your
main argument, contributing during work hours....it would be more a
way to kill time, a concept that probably applies to hundreds of
s_ubscribers....s_ubscribers who in general might also use (info from)
this list to their benefit, privately saving money, or commercially
making money (even a journalist might benefit from this list for his
job).

Bottom line: I disagree with you that the commercial content or
intent is on an equal level....and if push comes to shove, it's also
on-topic vs generic/off-topic content/pointers....which does make a
difference in value vs annoyance for a given list.

What B&H of course could do to even things out to even the most
sceptic people, is to offer a 5-10% discount for list members....;))
Yet sometimes a contribution with info is worth more....priceless as
they say....:))
