Today I see this lens on ebay with attempted starting bids of $4,300 to
$4,500 --
While B&H advertises them for $4,000 (grey) $4,200 (USA).

Of course these lenses, new with warranty, were only a little less than
your then asking price.

Funny, this goes back to March 1998.  I'd begun to think we've "kissed and
made up." since then,
