Questions:
* Is it for a slide portfolio of his work or to get scanned and printed?
* How big are the paintings?
If the paintings are small (A4, A3, A2 size), the best work would most
probably be done on a copy table with good color balanced lights. But
without knowing the size of the work, it's hard to suggest lighting.
