consideration. I know that the Canon 2x converters will not work with this
lens, but will 3 party converters work such as the Kenko Pro model? I have
a 100 400 Vivitar Series 1 and it seems to do a fine job for the money.
Would I get better quality with the L glass and a 2x or the consumer grade
no 2x?

Hi Mark,
Kenko Pro TCs - are very much Pro quality and with the Canon L lens should be
much better than Vivitar lens. I have both - Canon 80-200L and Kenko Pro TCs
- 2x and 1.4x and am very happy with thier performance.
You can look at my web page for the reviews of those.
