Provided that the MkI is in decent condition, I highly recommend it. The metal mount, focusing scale, and reasonable focus ring make it easily the better value. I purchased one used from an online auction and have been extremely happy with it. Not that you will likely want to get rid of it, but the MkIs are holding their value slightly better. B.
