The 7e can set flash exposure compensation (FEC) for
both the built in flash and for an accessory speedlite
like the 420EX.
The 550EX has FEC built into the speedlite, so FEC can
be set on either the camera body, the speedlite or
both. If set on both, the FEC setting on the
speedlite is used, not that set on the body.
