Canon offers a 4x and a 8x loupe. These work very well together, as they
have similar color balance characteristics.

The 4x loupe is used for evaluating slides to see if they're any good, and
the 8x is sometimes used to check critical focus.

If you don't plan to get a 8x loupe, check out the Schneider and
Rodenstock loupes. The Rodenstock has a sliding skirt, as opposed to the
other brands where they make you unscrew the skirt to switch between
viewing slide and prints (note: black skirt for slides, clear skirt for
prints)
