I've been looking at upgrading from my Elan IIE to either the 7E or the EOS
3. I really like the RC-1 release on my IIE. Is there anything comparable
for the EOS3? The closest 'simple' shutter release I can find is the wired
RS-80N3. I really like the wireless aspect of the RC-1.

Also, is the ECF better on the 7E or the EOS 3. It works great for me on
my Elan IIE.

Here are the plus factors of the EOS 3 over the 7E. I shoot mostly outdoor
tripod stuff, but I occasionally shoot a little bit of everything.

        Faster focusing ?

Auto focus to f8 vs 5.6

More focus points (any real benefit vs 7E?)

        2.4% spot meter

        97% viewfinder

        1/8000 top shutter

        Better weatherproofing and durability

Anything else I'm missing ? The 7E is listed at $499 with the EOS3 at
$899. For the 7E I'd like BP-300 at $70 for a better hand fit. At this
price there is about a $300 difference.
