Hello there:

I have been reading with interest some of the comments regarding the
'one-touch' 100-400/4.0-5.6L lens and how it can gather dust due to the
push-pull design.

Basically I would have bought the 100-400 a long time ago except for the fact
that I *hate* push-pull lenses (one of the reasons why I went with the
70-200/2.8L with a 1.4x and 2.0x to get to 280/4.0 and 400/5.6). The only
problem, of course, is that I do not get the benefits of the IS (a 70-200/2.8L
IS would solve that problem, but who wants to restart that thread ;-)

Does anyone know if this lens stands a chance to ever be redesigned to a
'two-touch' zoom a la 70-200?

Regards,

Carlo Terlizzi
