His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin
Waddaulah, the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei
Darussalam (he is not a sheik!), has sufficient
nickels to rub together to own over 5000 cars...
amongst which are very exclusive, one-of-a-kind
exotics, Ferraris, Maseratis, McLarens, Aston-Martins,
Rolls-Royces, etc. etc.
Someone else has mentioned his aircraft, I counted
photos of 16 personal planes (commercial and general
aviation jets!) on a website of a guy who shoots for
the government of Brunei.
My guess is that he'll buy two of anything, as long as
it's held in high regard and expensive, Nikon,
Hasselblad and Leica included. :-)
I'd put a little more stock in what the intelligent
buyer with limited resources buys... the Sultan of
Brunei has enough money that he doesn't have to make
buying decisions, he just sends his minions out to buy
two of everything for him. :-)
