If I recall correctly, Kodak came up with something several years ago called
"Datacode", a transparent film coating that would allow magnetic recording
of data directly on the film. Does anyone know if anything has come of this?
I believe the original purpose was to be able to record SMPTE/EBU timecode
directly on motion picture film.
