Beware because the EF 28-80 f/3.5-5.6 USM I is a very different lens that
all the others 28-80's.
The 28-80 USM I featured Ring type USM motor, distance scale, metal mount,
and quite good optical performance. It was probably the last good 28-(70 or
80) low aperture in the EF line.
AFAIK, optically-wise, the 28-80 f/3.5-5.6 USM I is better than the 28-135
USM IS, but the 28-70 f/3.5-4.5 II is better than both lenses.
The AF of the USM lenses is better, of course.
