Hi all - 

Me again!  ;-)  I understand (I think) that a non-optical extension
tube just allows you to focus closer to the subject.  I see that Canon
makes the following:  an EF-12; EF25; and and a Variable EF15-25
extension tube.

Would someone be so kind as to briefly describe the virtues of each?
I'm assuming that the EF-25 allows you to get twice as close as the
EF-12?  Probably also with an equivalent loss of light.

If there is a FAQ or an article about this somewhere, please direct
me.  There's no needs to use bandwidth for this if so.
