Pretty well... I'll just correct some things that I think are wrong 8-)

In 540EZ it's near infra-red, but wasn't it white on previous flashes? I
also don't think it test out the subject illumination in any ways.

I seem to remember that when bouncing the flash, 540EZ here with EOS 50e,
the flash defaulted to plain TTL. The older ones with white preflash did
do A-TTL in bounce mode also - IF I remember correctly... I've never used
them...
