Why not get the MR-14EX I bought mine for £320 and as you are
looking to buy a EOS-3 you will have E-TTL, it can also be used to control
your 550EX flashes if you so wish..

Why buy both when you can step back a foot or two ( or forward )
If you buy the 100mm USM Macro you will have (apparently) one of the
best Canon EOS lenses as far as optical performance is concerned. I have
only had this lens for a couple of weeks, but so far I have been verry
impressed with it when used as a portrait lens.
28-135mm Zoom Lens £499.99
>PB-E2 Power Booster £279.99
Do you really need this ? I thought about it, but to be honest have
never come across an occation where I regreted not having it.

If you skipped two of the bits mentioned above you could get the
more expensive remote cord, which can be used for things like multiple
exposures ( if that interests you ) or longer than 30 sec exposures.
Just my 2 pence worth...
