Oh ye of so many questions that one could find the answers to elsewhere,
the B&H page for the newer EF 100 2.8 USM (the older is USM also, but
not "ring" USM which enables "FTM" - this is like the various EF 50 mm
lenses, the 1.8, 1.4, and 1.2, but the 1.4 has mechanical FTM), under
specifications says:

Tripod collar Optional TRIPOD MOUNT RING B

Optional means it comes with it, if you by both the lens and the optional
tripod ring.

PS it's an expensive little thing.

The 100 macro is about the heaviest of lenses (the 100 macros feel like
bricks - lots of glass) one could comfortably consider mounting to a
camera body affixed to a tripod (quick release highly recommended for
important slight adjustment). Even with the collar, you'll want (at
minimum) a Kirk long lens plate to facilitate fine adjustment. The cost
of this plate (far less expensive than other Kirk quick release
solutions) will make
the price of the Canon collar seem more reasonable.

P.S. Don't take my sarcastic beginning too seriously. We enjoy newbies
on the list. What irks us is when we're constantly bugged for easily
available "information" as opposed to "questions."
