Well, I guess the new Nikon FM3A manual focus camera
is not a joke but soon to be reality, along with the
improved D1's. Just as well for we Canon owners.
This competition should help produce better digital
bodies from Canon that WE CAN USE. However, I doubt
if we will see a manual camera, that works without
batteries, for our EOS lenses. That, I think, would
be a bit much to ask for. In fact, I suspect that
given the EOS body/lens interface, a manual body would
not be possible.
At least we still have more IS lenses than they have
VR lenses. :)
