No, why should we? Any FD lens will still fit any FD body,
and all EF lenses fit all EOS bodies. So what, all my old 
FD equipment is still working with the guys I sold it to,
and all my new EOS equipment shows no incompatibility 
whatsoever.

I can't see any obsolescence in equipment working absolutely
flawless. Just because new equipment is available the old 
stuff doesn't break.

I sold all my stuff after using it somewhere between 
8 and 12 years, and I got what I paid for it or even 
more. Not much stinging there....
